Korean National Police Agency is comprised of 1 Deputy Commissioner General, 1 Office, 19 Bureaus, 55 Divisions, 3 team

- Community Safety Bureau, Traffic Bureau are responsible for basic policing. National Office of Investigation(Investigation Planning and Coordination Bureau, Department of Forensic Investigation Management, Investigation Bureau, Detective Bureau, Cyber Investigation Bureau, National Security Investigation Bureau) takes charge of investigations. Public Order Management Bureau, Bureau of Intelligence on Public Peace and Security, Foreign Affairs Bureau govern public order. Spokesperson’s Department, Audit and Inspection Department, Planning and Coordination Bureau, Police Administration and Human Resources Bureau, Future Policing Policy Bureau provide administrative support.

- Affiliated institutions include the Korean National Police University, Police Training Institute, Central Police Academy, Korean Police Investigation Academy and the National Police Hospital.

- Furthermore, the Korean National Police is regionally divided over the 18 metropolitan cities and provinces, placing 259 stations, 626 precincts and 1,417 police boxes under metropolitan and provincial police agencies.
