- More specifically, public safety bureau, criminal investigation bureau, transportation bureau, and foreign affairs bureau are in charge of public safety, while public security bureau, information bureau, national security bureau are in charge of keeping public order. Spokesperson, director general of planning and coordination, director general of police affairs and human resources, director general of inspection, director general of information equipment policies are each in charge of administrative support.
- As for affiliated institutions, there are 5 educational institutions such as Korean National Police University, Police Training Institute, National Central Police Acade my, Police Investigation Academy and etc, and there is the National Police
- Furthermore, in order to divide and conduct public order tasks regionally, the National Police Agency has placed 17 regional National police Agencies nation-widely in the cities(metropolis and megalopolis) and provinces(do). Under the regional National Police Agencies, 252 police stations, 516 Patrol Divisions, 1,479 Police sub stations are in operation.
